Weddings at Humber Barn
Getting married at Humber Barn is a once in a lifetime experience. The Barn is set within the rolling fields of Devonshire and is exclusively available to you and your guests on your wedding day. This means you can really make it feel like your own!
Beginning its life as the farms lambing shed, Humber Barn has been beautifully restored into a stunning setting for your wedding.
Fully glass fronted, the barn’s sliding doors allow you and your guests to take advantage of the private patio and lawn area that is ideal for reception drinks and garden games, with the rolling Devonshire fields as a backdrop.
We pride ourselves on being a relaxed yet professional venue with options to suit everyone, accommodating between 2 – 250 people. We offer three-day exclusive hire, intimate and elopement packages as well as the option to just have your ceremony with us.
We have a great range of menus and try to use as much of our own produce as possible including our farm assured grass fed lamb and hand reared pork. We also love to work with ideas and are able to create bespoke menus to suit you.
Charming as it is or completely transformed by decoration, the fairy lit barn and garden will take you from a bright, relaxed daytime to an atmospheric evening with all of your guests.
Throughout the whole of your wedding process, you will have the full support of our Events Manager. They will assist you in planning the set up of the Barn, arranging the timings, liaising with your suppliers and will be on hand for any queries or support you may need throughout the whole of your wedding journey, as well as making sure it goes without a hitch on the day!

When it comes to the drinks for your wedding, we can not only source all of your celebratory and toast drinks, but our bar can be tailored to you and your guests. Whether it’s a signature cocktail, a particular liqueur or a favorited ale we are happy to source it for you.

You will have one point of contact from your very first visit, right up until your wedding day itself. Hollie will show you around the barn, talk you through all of your options and will be on hand every step of the way. Always at the end of the phone or an email away, she is always happy to answer any queries and put the kettle on if you want to drop in.
We would love it if you chose to have your ceremony with us at Humber Barn. We think it’s the perfect place for you and your guests to celebrate and there’s no moving from one venue to another – it’s all under one roof. Whether you choose to say your vows inside the Barn or on the lawn in our ‘Hog Hut’ you will need to get in touch with the Devon Registration Service to provisionally book your date and preferred time buy calling them on 0345 155 1002.
Once your date and time has been confirmed, you then need to give notice at your local registration office (Teignbridge) of your intention to marry. You’ll need to make an appointment to go into the offices by calling 0345 155 1002 at least 29 days prior to your chosen date. Your notice is then publically displayed in the register office for 28 days, after which time you can go ahead and get married!
The registrars will arrive at the venue on the morning of your wedding and will want a 10 minute chat with both of you, so although it is always fashionable for the bride to be late, we recommend arriving in plenty of time as they may have another ceremony to get to after yours!
